Flight loaded and chauffeur assigned
Your flight number is loaded into dispatch and tracked from wheels-up. You receive your chauffeur's name, photo, vehicle and registration by SMS.

LCY has one compact terminal and no transit, so the chauffeur is standing in arrivals within a couple of minutes of the aircraft docking.

Chauffeur service at London City Airport
London City has a single compact terminal, no immigration queues for domestic arrivals, and is a 20-minute walk from gate to kerb on most flights. The chauffeur waits in the short-stay car park opposite and meets you in arrivals the moment your flight lands.
LCY is the only London airport actually inside the M25 - and right next to Canary Wharf, the ExCeL and the City of London. For meetings at One Canada Square or Liverpool Street, it is often faster than Heathrow even though Heathrow is closer in miles.
Carriers are predominantly business-oriented short-haul: British Airways (including the BA1 all-business flight to JFK), KLM, Lufthansa, LOT and Swiss. Aircraft are smaller, turn-around is fast, and the terminal layout means you can be in your chauffeur car within 15 minutes of touchdown.
London City Airport (LCY) chauffeur questions
Why can't the car wait on the London City forecourt?
LCY does not permit waiting on the terminal forecourt at all - it is an active drop-off lane with automatic enforcement. Your chauffeur therefore parks in the short-stay opposite and meets you inside arrivals, which is faster in practice.
How quickly can I be at Canary Wharf or the City?
Canary Wharf is typically eight to twelve minutes via Silvertown Way, and most City of London addresses 20 to 30 minutes. Blackwall Tunnel closures are the main variable and dispatch re-routes via the Rotherhithe or Woolwich crossing when they occur.
Do you cover the BA1 all-business service to New York?
Yes. The BA1 rotation runs at antisocial hours in both directions and is a regular booking for us. Early departures are prebriefed the night before with a confirmation call from the chauffeur.
Is London City inside the Congestion Charge or ULEZ zone?
The airport is inside the ULEZ but outside the Congestion Charge zone; most City and West End destinations are inside both. Every applicable charge is included in the fare you are quoted.
Is LCY faster than Heathrow for a City meeting?
Usually, yes. Even though Heathrow is comparably distant in miles, LCY's single terminal, short walk and lack of an M4 corridor mean door-to-desk is frequently 40 minutes shorter.
