Stansted's gates are reached by an automated transit, so the gate-closing time is effectively 15 minutes earlier than it looks. The M11 southbound is the pinch point between 07:00 and 09:00. Journey times door to terminal: London W1 55–85 min · Croydon 85–120 min.

Chauffeur service at Stansted Airport
Stansted has a single passenger terminal with a long satellite walk to gates - but a fast, straightforward arrivals route back to the short-stay car park. Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall and walks you across the covered footbridge to the car.
Stansted is also a major private aviation hub. Harrods Aviation, Inflite The Jet Centre and Universal Aviation all operate FBOs here - for private arrivals we coordinate airside collection directly with the ground handler.
From Stansted we run regular fixed-price transfers to Cambridge (45 min), central London (60–85 min), Essex and the home counties, and onward into East Anglia. The M11 is generally free-flowing outside peak hours, making this one of the more predictable London airports for arrival timing.

Why is there a walk to the car at Stansted?
Stansted's express set-down is a two-minute enforced zone unsuitable for a proper meet and greet, so we park in the short-stay across the covered footbridge. It adds about five minutes and means your chauffeur can carry the bags from the hall.
Is the Stansted drop-off charge included?
Yes. Stansted's set-down charge and short-stay parking are both absorbed into the fixed fare. Nothing airport-related is added to your invoice afterwards.
Can you meet a private aircraft at Harrods Aviation or Inflite?
Yes. Harrods Aviation, Inflite The Jet Centre and Universal Aviation all operate here and we coordinate directly with the handler on your tail number, with airside collection where access is granted.
How long is Stansted to Cambridge or Newmarket?
Cambridge is typically 40 to 50 minutes on the M11 and Newmarket around 50. Both are quoted as fixed fares. The M11 is generally free-flowing outside the 07:00 to 09:00 southbound peak.
My Ryanair flight lands at 23:45 - will a car be there?
Yes. Stansted has a heavy late-night schedule and our dispatch desk is staffed around the clock. Late arrivals carry no surcharge and the same 60 minutes of free waiting time.
