Chauffeur service at London Heliport

London Heliport (formerly the Battersea Heliport) is the only place in central London where you can legally land a helicopter. From here it is 15 minutes to Mayfair, 10 to Knightsbridge and 25 to the City - radically faster than any car journey from a private airfield.

Typical use cases: a Sikorsky or AW139 lift from the south coast or the home counties, a transfer from a private airfield (Biggin Hill, Goodwood, Stapleford) to central London, or a hop from a country estate. We meet you on the helipad-side pad with the car prepared, drinks ready, and your itinerary loaded into the satnav.

For ultra-short transfers we also coordinate helicopter charter and onward fixed-wing connections from the heliport - including direct lifts to Battersea from Biggin Hill, Farnborough and Goodwood that bypass London road traffic entirely.

Questions we are actually asked

London Heliport (EGLW) chauffeur questions

Where does the car wait at the London Heliport?

In the heliport's own set-down area off Bridges Court Road. The site is small and street-side rather than airside, so no apron pass is needed and the walk from the terminal door to the car is a matter of paces.

How does the car time itself to a helicopter arrival?

Rotary schedules move more than fixed-wing. We take the operator's contact and re-confirm the rotor time with them while the aircraft is inbound, so the car arrives on the revised time rather than the booked one.

Are the surrounding roads a problem?

Bridges Court Road and the Nine Elms corridor are congested at peak and the Battersea one-way system can add ten minutes. We route via Chelsea Bridge or Wandsworth depending on the live picture rather than a fixed line.

Is the heliport inside the Congestion Charge zone?

It sits just outside the Congestion Charge zone but inside the ULEZ, and most West End and City destinations are inside both. Every applicable charge is included in your fixed fare.

Can you handle a heliport transfer onward to a private jet?

Yes. Heliport to Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Luton or Stansted is a regular routing for us and we coordinate both ends with the respective handlers so the aircraft is ready as you arrive.
