Bath & Stonehenge
5,000 years of history in a single day — the prehistoric stones of Salisbury Plain followed by the Georgian honey-stone city of Bath.
Few day-tours from London cover the same ground in terms of British history. We leave central London early to reach Stonehenge ahead of the crowds, then drive west across Salisbury Plain to Bath — the only city in England designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its entirety.
Your driver-guide will narrate the geology and archaeology of Stonehenge en route, then walk you through the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, the Royal Crescent and the Georgian terraces of Bath. We finish with afternoon tea at the Pump Room or a Bath bun at Sally Lunn's before the easy run home down the M4.
