How we work in Asia Pacific
Asia Pacific is the region where language and protocol matter most, so we brief partners on the principal's schedule rather than just the pickup. Interpreter-capable chauffeurs can be requested in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul, and Toyota Alphard and Mercedes S-Class are the usual vehicles. Time-zone handover is managed from Croydon so nothing waits for UK office hours.
Every journey is booked through the same desk that handles your UK travel, confirmed in writing with vehicle, chauffeur and local contact, and billed on your existing account.

A named K2 coordinator stays accountable

Confirmations and billing return to K2
The standard every Asia Pacific partner is held to
Operating licence, public liability and passenger insurance certificates are collected and re-checked annually. No certificate, no work.
Criminal record checks to the standard available in that country, identity and right-to-work verification, and a minimum of three years' professional chauffeur experience.
A signed NDA covering the operator, the dispatcher and every chauffeur placed on K2 work. Client names never appear on partner-side manifests.
Current-shape executive vehicles under three years old, dark paint and dark interior wherever the market allows, valeted before every job.
Dark suit, white shirt, discreet tie. Conversational English as a minimum, with interpreter-capable chauffeurs on request in most markets.
Post-journey reporting on every leg, a named escalation contact and a review after every trip. Partners that slip are replaced, not warned twice.
Booking abroad, answered
Does K2 own vehicles outside the UK?
No, and we say so plainly. Outside the UK we work through vetted affiliate operators who are licensed and insured in their own market. The difference between that and booking a local company yourself is that we select the operator, brief them to our standards in writing, hold them to our waiting and meet-and-greet policy and stay accountable for the journey.
Who do I speak to when I am abroad?
The same Croydon desk and the same named coordinator you use for UK travel, 24 hours a day. You never negotiate with the local operator yourself, and you never chase a foreign dispatcher in the middle of the night.
How is a worldwide booking priced?
In sterling, as a fixed transfer fare or an hourly or daily hire depending on how the local market works. Airport transfers are usually fixed; North America and much of Asia is priced by the hour or the day. You see one figure per leg, not a local fare plus a coordination charge revealed later.
How much notice do you need for an overseas journey?
Four to six hours in the major European hubs, eight to twelve in the Gulf and Asia Pacific, and twenty-four to forty-eight in markets where armouring, permits or remote pickups are involved. Each country card on this page shows its own working lead time.
Can you arrange armoured vehicles and close protection overseas?
In most markets, yes, on notice. Armoured saloons and SUVs are available in Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Nigeria and several other markets, and we can work alongside a principal's existing protection team or introduce SIA-standard officers through our security desk.
Do you cover multi-country itineraries?
That is most of what this desk does. A single itinerary can cross four countries and three operators and still arrive as one set of confirmations, one point of contact and one invoice - which is the whole reason clients stopped booking each city separately.
