Local Ascot chauffeur hire, run from our Croydon office
Ascot is K2's race-week headquarters. We coordinate 30+ cars during Royal Ascot, with pre-allocated drop-and-collect zones at every enclosure entrance and a dedicated dispatch desk for the week. Off-meeting, the Sunningdale and Wentworth residential traffic keeps the diary full year-round.
We run a dedicated Royal Ascot dispatch desk for the five-day meeting - one number, one coordinator, no rotation.

Ascot chauffeur service - frequently asked questions
Can you handle Royal Ascot drop-and-collect?
Yes - we pre-book enclosure-specific drop zones (Royal, Queen Anne, Village) and coordinate collection slots in advance.
Do you cover Wentworth members?
Yes, we hold standing accounts with several Wentworth residents and the club concierge for guest transfers.
How early do I book for Royal Ascot week?
We are usually fully allocated by mid-May for June. Earlier is safer - January is not too early.
Where exactly can the car stop in Ascot, and can it wait?
Racecourse work uses the enclosure-matched set-down and, where you hold a pass, Car Park 1. Residential collections across SL5 are door-to-door, including the Wentworth-side estates. Racecourse parking is pass-controlled and matched to vehicle registration on race days. Outside race weeks, Ascot High Street parking is straightforward.
Do I pay the Congestion Charge, ULEZ, tolls or parking on a Ascot journey?
No - they are inside the fare. No Congestion Charge or ULEZ unless the journey continues into London. Fuel, the chauffeur's time, tolls, parking and VAT are also included, so the figure we quote is the figure you pay. All prices shown are indicative lead-in fares for the vehicle named and are subject to change - your final quote is confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
When should we leave Ascot to avoid sitting in traffic?
Royal Ascot week transforms the A329(M) and A330 - allow 45 extra minutes each way and expect a staggered evening release. Outside race weeks, Heathrow is 30-40 minutes. Dispatch checks live conditions on the morning of travel and will move your collection time if the roads require it, rather than leaving you to discover the problem en route.
Which vehicle do most Ascot clients actually book, and why?
The Mercedes S-Class covers the majority of journeys here - one to three passengers with two cases. The Mercedes V-Class is the right call for families, four or more cases, golf bags or airport runs with a full luggage load, because a saloon boot simply will not take it. On the Ascot → Heathrow run in particular, luggage volume rather than passenger count usually decides the vehicle. Tell us the passengers and the bags and we will specify it for you.
Can we have the same chauffeur every time in Ascot?
Yes - it is how most of our regular Ascot work runs. A named-chauffeur retainer keeps the same driver and vehicle for school runs, station and airport legs and evening commitments across SL5, GU25, GU20, so the driver already knows your gate code, your preferred route and how you like the car set up. Retainers are billed monthly on account with cost-centre reporting where you need it.
What happens if our plans change on the day - a delayed flight, a late finish, an extra stop?
Airport collections are tracked from take-off and re-timed automatically, with 45-60 minutes of complimentary waiting from landing. Address collections in Ascot include 15 minutes free waiting. Extra stops and late finishes are added at the agreed hourly rate rather than re-quoted from scratch, and if the change is substantial we confirm the revised figure in writing before you travel.
