Things worth knowing
- Suspended play changes everything: on a rain day the driver holds rather than releases, so you are not stranded when play resumes at 20:00.
- The Village is closed to through traffic on middle Saturday and finals weekend - collections shift to the Wimbledon Park side.
- Queue guests should be dropped on Church Road, not Wimbledon Park Road, to avoid crossing the ticket queue.

Can a chauffeur drop me at the All England Club gates during the Championships?
Not at the gates themselves. SW19 operates residents-only parking and stewarded road closures for the fortnight, so the approved set-down points are on Church Road and Somerset Road, a few minutes' walk from Gates 3, 5 and 13. Debenture holders can be set down closest to Gate 13. Our drivers are briefed on which points are live each day, because the stewards move them when the queue is long.
What happens to my car if play is suspended for rain?
Nothing changes for you. On a day-rate booking the chauffeur stays local rather than releasing the car, so when play resumes - often into the evening on Centre Court under the roof - the vehicle is minutes away. On a single transfer we ask you to call when a resumption is announced; if the finish moves several hours later we convert the booking to hourly hire at the agreed rate rather than sending a second car.
Is there a curfew on returns from Wimbledon?
Play is scheduled to finish by 23:00 under the Merton Council curfew, so we plan late collections around a 22:45-23:15 release. Roads around Church Road clear slowly after a full Centre Court crowd leaves; the driver stages north of the ground and collects on your call, which is usually faster than waiting on a stewarded street.
Can you carry hospitality items - hampers, cool boxes, champagne?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons guests book a day-rate car. The boot holds hampers, ice boxes and rain gear, and stays with you all day so nothing has to be carried through the gates or checked into a cloakroom. Note that the All England Club limits what may be brought onto the grounds, so most guests leave the bulk of it in the car and return between sessions.
