The public weekend is a family event with entirely different traffic and no chalet access. Tell us which you are attending, because the arrival plan and the timings differ completely.
How early do we need to leave London for a trade day?
Around 07:15 for an 08:45 gate. The Farnborough approaches and the A327 are managed and slow from about 08:00, and accredited vehicles still queue at the checkpoint. Arriving before 09:00 is comfortable; arriving at 09:30 costs the first appointment of the day.
The show is biennial - does that affect availability?
Yes, more than annual events. Local hotel rooms, FBO slots and chauffeur capacity around Farnborough are committed close to a year ahead in show years, because the entire aerospace industry arrives in the same week.
