Things worth knowing

- Give us your stand number and we will match the entrance to it.
- London City Airport is minutes away; same-evening departures are genuinely realistic from WTM.
WTM chauffeur hire - frequently asked questions
Which ExCeL entrance should we use?
The one matched to your hall - the venue is a full kilometre from end to end, and the wrong choice costs a fifteen-minute internal walk in each direction. Give us your stand or hall number at booking and we set you down at the east or west entrance accordingly, and collect from wherever you actually finish rather than where you started.
How early do we need to arrive for morning appointments?
Set-down by about 09:20 for a 09:30 appointment. The Royal Docks approach roads and the Connaught Bridge slow noticeably from 08:45 as exhibitors and delegates arrive together, and the internal walk from set-down to a far hall is not trivial. Collecting from central London around 08:30 is the comfortable window.
Can you carry stand materials and brochure stock?
Yes - book a V-Class and tell us the load. Boxes of brochures, banner stands and giveaway stock do not travel in an executive saloon with passengers, and ExCeL's load-in access is separate from passenger set-down. We can run a materials leg ahead of your arrival so you are not carrying stock through the concourse.
Is a same-evening flight from London City realistic?
Yes, unusually so - City Airport is minutes from ExCeL and its check-in is famously short. A 17:30 finish comfortably makes a 19:00 departure. From Heathrow the same evening is a different proposition: allow at least ninety minutes for the cross-London leg and treat anything before 21:00 as tight.
What does a day-rate booking for WTM include, and when is a single transfer enough?
A day-rate booking keeps the same chauffeur and the same vehicle with you for the whole of WTM - the car holds your coats and kit, there is no waiting charge, and an overrun simply extends the agreed hours. A single transfer suits guests attending one session with a firm finish time. Lead-in pricing for World Travel Market starts at £150 in the Mercedes V-Class; day hire is quoted on the hours and vehicle you need. All prices shown are indicative lead-in fares for the vehicle named and are subject to change - your final quote is confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
Which vehicle actually suits WTM, rather than which is most expensive?
Mercedes V-Class Bear in mind what travels with you: stand materials, brochures and delegate bags. The Mercedes V-Class is our recommendation here. Tell us the passenger count, the luggage and whether anyone is in formal dress, and we will specify the car on that basis rather than upselling you into a larger one you do not need.
What does your chauffeur know about ExCeL London, E16 that an app driver will not?
Routed via the A13 / Lower Lea Crossing. Avoiding peak DLR-feeder traffic on Royal Victoria Dock Road. Our drivers are briefed on the approved set-down (excel's east and west entrance set-down; the correct end matters - the venue is a kilometre long) and on where the vehicle may legally hold between drop-off and collection. That briefing is the difference between a car that meets you and a car that cannot reach you.
Can you collect guests from several addresses and run more than one car for WTM?
Yes. Multi-pickup and multi-vehicle work is routine for WTM: we plan the route so the whole party arrives together, run two or three cars in convoy where needed, and give you one dispatch contact and one booking reference for all of them. Convoy work is quoted per vehicle rather than at the lead-in fare, and is confirmed in writing before the day.
